gaswatchON - I wasn't defending the high prices at the pumps. Just stating the facts. You're right that the station operators raise their prices at the pumps when the oil price goes up - whether the delivered price of the gas to their station goes up or not. Yes, they are working the system. The cost of the gas delivered to their stations goes down and they don't lower the prices at the pumps. So, gaswatchON, your point is well taken. Station owners that say that they are only making a few pennies per gal of profit at the pumps are liars!
