Allstate study: Washington DC drivers are the worst in the U.S.

GasBuddy Blog -- Some of you may have suspected this already, but... a study completed by Allstate Insurance says drivers in Washington, DC get into a crash and file a claim once every 4.7 years making them 112 percent more likely to do so than a typical driver anywhere else in the U.S. Yes, DC drivers are the worst!

Nationwide, the average driver gets into wreck once a decade.

Baltimore is second on the national list which appears below:

Before you jump to the bad news let's have some good news first. The city with the safest drivers is Sioux Falls, SD and in larger metro areas, the safest cities include Tucson, Ariz., Milwaukee, Wis., and Kansas City, MO.

Not the worst traffic I have been in just the worst area for drivers.

Very heavy traffic and not paying attention, this makes drivers in Washington DC the worst drivers in the US?
Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money.
The price of fuel at the pump is too high!

Based on traffic extremes and the overcrowded road conditions, Washington, DC and Alexandria, VA should consistently be near the top of the list year in and year out.

Old news, but I still maintain that the worst drivers are on US27 between Lexington, Ky. and Nicholasville, Ky.
